TUOS is committed to protecting the physical and mental integrity of women, girls and vulnerable boys. Towards this, TUOS has been involved in the documentation of incidences of violation against women, girls and children in general. Survivors in these incidences have also been provided with medical and legal support although few have been willing to pursue justice through conventional courts. TUOS has also provided safe haven and rehabilitation to former child soldiers in South Central Somalia. The organisation is running two Identification rehabilitation and reunification centres where former child soldiers are rehabilitated and reunited with their families. Under its protection program TUOS works closely with donor organisation, local authority, local NGOs who also are engaged in protection programs in coordination of provision of services and information sharing on best practices. Community are also engaged and are vital in the implementation of the program. Also under the program services are provided to unaccompanied, abandoned or separated children.
